How do I hard refresh a page?
To perform a hard refresh (which clears the browser cache for a specific page and forces it to load the latest version), use the following keyboard shortcuts based on your device and browser:
Windows (Chrome, Firefox, Edge):
- Hold down Ctrl and press F5.
- Alternatively, hold Ctrl and click the Reload button.
Mac (Chrome, Firefox):
- Hold Command (⌘) + Shift (⇧) and press R.
- Alternatively, hold Shift and click the Reload button
Safari on Mac doesn't offer a hard refresh shortcode. Instead, press Command (⌘) + Option (⌥) + E to empty the cache, then reload the page.
A hard refresh is different from a regular refresh: it clears cached files for that page, making sure new updates are visible.
